This work consists in a study of narrative review of the literature about the coping model of Folkman and Lazarus. It was concluded that the coping theory proposed by Folkman and Lazarus is still an important tool to explain the strategies used by people in face of a stressful event, as well as to exhibit interventions in order to help individuals to deal better with the stressful situation.
